Loving the daily fashion show here. All those blooms are dressed to their best! Every one I want! Smiling :-) :-)

My season was early here, too. But not because of rain. In fact, we've been in a bit of a drought situation until just recently. We had a warmer than usual Spring this year. It's like everything is blooming about a month ahead of time.

Reading about how well so many of your daylilies are doing because of rain .... just goes to show that rain (lots of water) does make for happy daylilies! I often wonder if the acid in the rain also helps because simply watering with well water does not have the same affect.

The photos with lots of scapes and blooms are really wonderful! My clumps are not near as big, but I can see that happening next year. I've had a rather nice show this year myself. The more established my plants, the better they get and the more blooms. I am also seeing a number of re-blooms this year. Some as far apart as 2 months! That kind of surprised me. I was expecting the second wave of blooms to be about a month later, not two months later. Is that typical or unusual for a two month gap from blooms to re-blooms?

And I have noticed the beeeeautiful green foliage in many photographs here! I am soooo envious! No rust or pest damage! Beautiful plants!!!

Gosh Anna, I have had Dallas Star so long that I don't remember where I got it. If I were to guess, I would say Oakes Daylilies. When I first started buying daylilies 20 years ago, I purchased a lot from Oakes.

Anna, Elvis Lives was a bonus from Blueridge Daylilies, they sell on the LA. It didn't bloom the first year, and last year the blooms didn't look nearly as good, in fact I didn't care for it, this year it looks much better.

Yesterday it was the hottest day of 2015 here - more than 100 ° F - and lot of Ozon. This night at 1:00 am it was still 80.6 ° F.
So I took a look for sun resist DL....

The winner in my garden was Crown of Creation.
Full sun, no shade and no clowdy sky - for almost 15 h. Pic is taken at 9:00 pm:

I heed your warnings...like opening pandora's box...who knows what will end up at my door! I think DL may have one of the highest addicting score . I have worked my addictions through natives.salvias, clematis, heuchera, hellebores and succulents.

I would like to see a frog getting into a bloom. Do they climb in or hop in? Does the bloom move a lot when they get in? I can see Funny Video clips here.

I never see those in my blooms. The other morning I noticed the stamens were really moving around a bloom up the bed from me and it was a big ole bumble bee in there lol.
