Absolutely beautiful!
I know from experience that what you did takes some muscle. I had a rock garden with tulips and a few other "specialties" thrown in. I put down cocoa bean shells just for something different. I also heard it kept the bunnies away. When we sold that house, the new owners did away with it. Oh well. At least I can look at your rock garden now. Enjoy it.

Thank you, gardeningal.
Yes indeed, muscles are definitely involved. At such time as I leave my house, the next residents will likely get rid of my gardens too. I have seen it happen more often than not.
Did the cocoa bean shells really keep the rabbits away?

Sorry, got busy at work..
Yes, as a matter of fact, they kept a lot of animals away - even deer it seems. I never saw signs of plants being eaten. But it was an expensive purchase. Oh well, at the time I could do that and it looked great!
Keep up the good work. :D

Hmmmm....wonder if I could put them around just the plants they bother most? I do not have deer, but I certainly have rabbits. I may try this in the spring. I use Repellex now and it works pretty well, but it takes a week or two to get dispersed through the whole plant and sometimes that's long enough to destroy it. It's more labor and less attractive to temporarily cage it.
Thanks for the tip!

Thank you, Arlene. Now I just hope that the barrier functions as intended and that I don't have to rebuild it in the spring. Once is enough to move those boulders!

Blood Meal deters rabbits around here since they hunt by scent.

Let's hope the errant drivers will take note of your work and leave it intact!

So far blood meal has not worked well to keep rabbits away over time, but it might be worth trying until the Repellex takes effect. Thanks for the tip, Arlene.
Yes indeed, I hope no one crashes into my boulders for my sake and theirs!
