Those are just gorgeous Sharon, I can hardly wait to see the green finished. My favorite color especially glass.

Tee those are fantastic I'm with Becky I really like that pottery one. And that tree by the blue is really neat with that root up out of the ground like that. Perfect place for a Gnome door, nestled up right next to the base of the tree. Drooling

I see decanter tops in the thrift store and wondered just who would buy a top, NOW I know. Monday is my day to discover treasures at the thrift store. I started a totem, but can't decide what to put next (can't keep my things all in one place). I had to check to see if I took pic of it.

'Bout time you showed up, Vic.

The green one is shaping up, now I'm looking for that old fishbowl I have around here somewhere. I think it's going to be the base of it. At the moment it's 22" tall, the fishbowl will take it up another several inches.

Looking for something for the base of the blue one too, I think I started upside down.

Have to check out my stash and see if I have a shallow bowl. Fell in love with that green decanter and just had to buy it. Has taken me a while to try and turn it into a totem. Been sitting here for a month now so guess it is time to finish it up.

It doesn't matter if you started upside down or not, I started one in the middle and then went down then back to the top all in the course of 2 weeks. I took my time in finding what I wanted. I'm loving all of the creations you all are doing.

Here's the green, ready for its base.
If I can ever find something to use for the base. I'd like to have a green glass plate or shallow bowl.

That's going to be beautiful when it's done, it's beautiful now actually. I think a saucer size plate would work good, not too much so it won't take away from the rest of it. I likethat idea of the water globe. Great job.

Thanks, Robin. I think the glass is going to be very fragile, especially the areas of the stem of the blue glass and the neck of the top green vase. I'll have to be careful where I place them. Ceramics/pottery will be much less fragile.

I got into my school stash, old things that I used in studio classes and found these pieces...in the second photo you can see how well the face thing fits over the bottle, perfect fit. It sure would be fun if we lived closer, I think I have enough junk for a room full of these things. (Oh Song......the time and distance are getting shorter!)

That is a cool face, It reminds of a Joan of Arc or I could see it with the neck and the top in red instead gold for the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. With that bottle you could change her colors again and have I Dream of Jeanie. Another color change to black and you have the wicked witch in Snow White.

How in the world did I get off on that tangent I'll never know but I really like that face.

OOOH! Maybe Cruella Devile

As long as we don't give her fangs with dripping blood...how fun!
Thanks Robin. I could build her a body if I thought about it for awhile. Maybe she could become a scarecrow.

Lots of great images since I was here earlier! Hurray!

Yes, Robin, I collect those decanter tops. When my friends are good willing with me, they look at me rather puzzled too. I can't even tell you why I collect them....I just love them. Blinking But I get very exited when I find one...especially extra cool ones. They haven't been unpacked since I moved because I need a shelf built for them in this kitchen.

As I look at your stack Sharon, I am finding myself really liking all the same color ones like the green is. It makes it look like some expensive piece of art. I'm on total visual overload in this thread...I need to look at something calming like hostas.

Sharon is that fragile green globe one of those you fill with water for plants? I bought myself a couple last year, don't think they work so great.

Yes, Pegi, that's exactly what I thought, which is why it ended up on the totem. Somebody gave me a couple of the large ones, then somebody else gave me a set of 3 small ones. The green is one of the smalls. They are worthless for watering. Cool for the totems, though.

Sharon, I love that green one! All of these totems are so cool though. Oh, I wish I had more time to play. Sad
