That's what I'm afraid of. well I got some liquid nails and maybe that will work.
Thank you dear. I may have to make a ball yet. I got some grout, I've never used it, always cement, so this is going to be interesting....it is sanded grout with polymer. We'll see if anyone has any suggestions, please don't be shy, I want to hear, even if it is bad.

Here's a small mosaic ball using E6000, no grout. The core is some kind of polyfiber sphere, hard but hollow. Can't remember what it was called, but this type mosaic would work on any hard surface.

Here's another one for indoors, done on a styrofoam ball using those little tiny seed beads and regular household white glue, like Elmers. It wouldn't work outside because the glue wouldn't hold and it would also turn white-ish. I use these for Christmas decor.

A mosaic flower pot, used E6000 for the glue, and then I grouted it. Scrap tiles and little stones.

Bet you had fun with that baby boy!

I have a bowling ball that I've been meaning to mosaic. I have enough of everything, but I want to add mirrors to it. Don't have the mirrors yet. I think it might be a winter project.

Thanks Ladies,

I don't play around with much of it anymore. Most of these things are left over from having taught high school art for so long. I'd like to do more but mostly I just paint.

What I really want to do is Quik Wall with Chris and those huge balls with Debbie. I've done all that but usually with a paper medium so not so long lasting or useful.

Started on my bowling ball. #1 Picture from work yesterday afternoon. I'm using Liquid Nail as the glue.

The stand that I had in the ground is what I'm using to hold it with. I drilled two holes in my craft table.

Bet I can use it again, that way...Rainbow ball I guess.

Dahlia..you said 'easy peasy' and I thought immediately of putting glue on a ball and rolling it around in dried peas.
Or beans.
Or corn.
Black beans.
A mixture.
*sigh*

Great, Charleen!!

Ah but Shar 'putting glue' is fraught with danger for me. I oft glue things (like myself) that should remain glueless. Although methinks I might have a new easypeasy method for glueing. Let me experiment and advise.
(ps if I don't return please send solvent cuz that means I've glued myself to something AGAIN Rolling my eyes. )
