Absolutly right.
I thought the 50 I bought last fall was the max for here.
Funny how you can wedge in many more when you just look.

Well, if you didn't buy enough, and there are new ones on the market, which there will alwways be, you're all set, just buy more.

But if you buy enough, and have no more room, that's when you're in trouble.

Phewww, Dug 24 12" deep holes, hauled the extra dirt to the garden, planted 24 lilies, fertilized and cleaned up. Hey why do I still have 4 boxes in the fridge?

Crash time...

Do you ever wish....that on these nice days.....that have been forecast for over a week here in WI., that the bulbs coming from various locations.... would all be here ......ready to plant? I just want to plant now, when I have the time and energy, in nice weather to boot.

But alas, I don't have them all, but most certainly, when my plate is full, next week, they will undoubtedly arrive. It's one of the things I like least about planting time....waiting for certain things to show up. Okay....now that I have ruined my NY's resolution, of trying to be more patient, I am here admitting that as much as I might think I am doing better...that I am not.

Well, you could have gotten them in February like I did, and not even had a big enough fridge for them.

Yes, mine are trickling in too. And I'm ready.

Patience is a much overrated virtue, LOL.

I got my lilies from The Lily Garden. They were out of quite a few, but sent great subs.

I finally gave in and ordered ice Caves. One @ 25.00. Eek.

But she sent me 4!!!!, saying she was afraid the bulbs might have grown into the area where Fanfare was, so there might be a Fanfare in the group. I'll be happy if there is just one Ice Caves and three Fanfare, but there might be four Ice Caves. Or maybe even four Fanfare, which would have been 28.00. Can't wait to see, and it'll be a win win for me, no matter what.

They were out of Spice Islands and subbed Quintessence, which seems an odd sub to me, but OK, I'll take it. Unfortunately that one was for Jo Ann, who didn't want the sub due to the height, but I did.

I got three Anastasias for the price of one.

Bonus was Silk Road, which I always get as a bonus, whether it's a personal or wholesale order. But can one ever have too many Silk Roads, LOL.

All the bulbs were very nice.

Sounds like you did really well. I was smart and ordered earlier so I got most of what I actually ordered. And I always put no subs. But I got Silk Roads for bonus also. She must have lots of Silk Road this year,

Nice order Polly. Right on the too tall lily. The tallest I have is a Henrii at 6 feet ,there isnt any space for a tall companion. Maybe next year after I see where I would use a lily like that.
I busted my own rule about following my notes and maps and planted Gironde,Reinesse, and Chiante somewhere other than my plan ,I need to see where they are before I go lily crazy again. I'll let you know in June.

I love the tall lilies, so it worked out well for me. Thanks, LOL.

I did order pretty early, Rita. I think Judith has just had a lot of orders this year. Yes, I did very well.
