Planto I like it. I like terracotta too. One year I set up a corner on the patio with all my succulents in terracotta pots. It looked good. It did give it the flavor of the Southwest.

Audrey that is looking like a tropical island for sure. nodding
I do not drink but I have all kinds of liquor you can imagine and little umbrellas and cocktail stirrers on the bar. You would think I was an alcoholic but I love pretty bottles of liquor. I also purchased those as Souvenirs when I traveled. I am a collector. *Blush*

Well, Cinta I can help you out from keeping that bar from getting dusty while we talk plants Rolling on the floor laughing I always do look in awe at folks that keep full bottles around. Audrey, TY so much for the details!! Sometimes those Euphorbia tops are grafted to Plumeria, but that would be round, not triangular. I admire your ability to make a decision like that, I can hardly force myself to discard stuff I'm not really enjoying, or isn't as healthy as it could be, too sentimental. It would be better to focus attention on the thriving plants, and while inside, give window-proximity priority to stuff that actually enjoys being at my house.

LOVE the Peperomia/Lithops planter! Completely adorable!!

Beth, the Aloe looks great! If I can keep a potted Aloe alive, so can you! I can overwater a plant as thoroughly and quickly as anyone! If you have a weak moment where you know it doesn't need a drink but feeling the urge to water, have Cinta talk you through it, "Put the watering can down!" LOL!

Thankyou for the acorns Tiffany! Glad I could help. I used to be that way about not discarding things but your right about premium window spots in the winter. I adore tropicals but have decided to go with more xeric easy care stuff the past few years and have decided I only want to care for things that I am truly passionate about.

I was rewarded by the lithops this morning with new growth over night! It must be happy. Is it going to be new rocks or flowers? I have never grown these before so I am pretty excited Hurray!

You would really be in awe of me. I have two liter bottles of 150 proof rum in my stock. When I came back from Puerto Rico I unpacked and had them on my dresser. When the guy came to remodel my bathroom he asked me did I have a drinking problem. Rolling on the floor laughing

I have been fighting to keep this ZZ plant alive for a year. I do not know what I am doing wrong. Maybe it wants some water. If that is what it is looking for I think it is going to die this winter. Hilarious!

LMAO, Cinta! If collecting bottles you don't drink is a drinking problem, I guess you have a pretty serious one!

Audrey, my Lithops have only bloomed once, (the pic I put in the general Lithops entry.) That bloom was in 2013 & haven't seen another since. From what I saw and have heard from others' anecdotes, the blooms open for several days, during the daytime, closing at night and opening again in the AM, until they're tuckered out after a few days. It would be perfectly reasonable to want to take them to work or on errands, everyone here would totally understand, but practical? IDK... can't wait to see what yours does! :+)

It is pretty. I could not resist. She bought this plant unlabled. I think it is L.G. hybrid 'sunset' with the amount of blue and upright growth.so many hybrids these days so little window space Sighing! I had it repotted the minute I got home. I think I will add a small topsy turvy echeveria in front of it for winter living fun. Or something blue. I wish I had an extra Lola eche but I dont.

But I can never get it right after overwintering it, have killed two sets already oh well, so I gave up on it..will look forward to your photo updates when it blooms!

My friend gave me the tall euphorbia in the blue pot this weekend and I was afraid it would tip over in the wind so I put it in the green pot along with some other goodies and put a smaller one that I already had in the blue pot. Great idea........... two more heavy pots to carry in for winter.....genius at work Blinking

This one got all dressed up for winter and can stay outside all winter thank goodness. Weather finally has cooled down enough for me to do something with the semperviums. Summer was pretty rough on the little guys.

Thankyou everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deborah, just go with what pleases you. You can't go wrong. Some of the things I do I am sure are not every ones taste. I love all the colors that succulents come in and enjoy getting crazy with them. Some people like other styles. I know any time I have tried to make one like I saw someone else do it never turns out. So, I just do what pleases me and I also rearrange things a lot. I have some that I think are duds and they will be the first to sell sometimes. I have done some that I am very proud of in the perfect pot and then it looks ridiculous anywhere I put it Blinking Just have some fun and play and if you don't like it after a couple of days take it apart and try something else. Most succulents are very forgiving. Lovey dubby

I dug this one out of a neglected pot in full sun today and needed to rinse the junk out that had collected in its folds and went ahead and rinsed the roots off to show you guys the roots on this smaller one.
