Great idea, Suga. It got me thinking ....

We don't have gum trees up here in the Poconos, but we have plenty of pine trees - hence pine cones. Lots of little pine cones, too. I wonder if they, too, would keep squirrels out of flowerpots? And maybe kill slugs - plenty of sharp edges. If pine cones could be substituted, I'd be picking up pine cones all over the neighborhood!

I have used small pinecones in my big pots along with the Gumballs!
