Hello Meuser and welcome to the iris forum. I agree with you on a lot of color issues I have. I am a color and light oriented person. However, that being said, I find that I am much more tolerant of color discord in blooms than I am, for instance, of objectionable combinations of color in clothing or furniture. I definitely have preferences in combinations of color but find some that I would not tolerate elsewhere can be a beautiful flower in the garden.

Tom.. It was not ..I think it was one of Paul's small flowered TB's he has been doing a lot of work with them and as you can tell they keep better the Beards on that one Drooling

Deb.. Sorry I have no seedling numbers to compare from Mid America or pedigrees on most of them... a lot of these shown are seedlings crossed to seedlings so not sure if that is the one.

Les.. I agree and thought the same when I saw it what a cool pattern Smiling and it looks like Devil's Waltz is the winner of the day Hilarious! Rolling on the floor laughing

Jane.. Thanks I'm glad you like them number 6# was beautiful it definitely caught my attention and made me stop and admire the colors in it Smiling

MeUser.. Glad you like the napa seedlings they are very talented hybridizers and work hard to maintain those beautiful gardens it is always a pleasure to visit them and take pictures of there work and be able to share them Smiling This is the one I am most looking forward too hoping it gets a name next year.

Brad, I like the first & the last on the set of photos which were seedlings. Devil's Waltz is a border iris which blooms late during the year. it is by Lynn Markham here in MA & on the other phone during horse racing season. We are nuts! Green Grin!

All are remarkable but here they are really getting close to a blue iris with a pink beard. I don't think there is another blue with a pink beard. Intriguing to say the least.

I had the same thoughts about that one Bonnie. I like number 6 a lot, and wonder if it could be a Cold Fusion cross?

I agree with Debra about the tenth one. Got to love a little blue and gold!

I also love the gray and blue of #12, and the richness of the fall colors on the last one. I think a self with the same red wash over orange as on the falls of the last one would be fantastic.
