While the Fall and Winter so far have given my area lower than usual temperatures in December, we also experienced lower than the usual number of freezes to date, an extraordinary amount of rain, and a plethora of much warmer than usual days. As a result, I have flowers blooming on this New Year's Day that would have normally gone dormant weeks back. You will hear no complaints from me...

Gerbera. Probably the longest-lasting and sturdiest bloom in the yard. // Henbit. Some people consider it a weed. I think it is a pretty ground cover.
