I need to catch up on this thread later, but thought I'd quickly offer the suggestion of the Salvia hybrid (longispicata x farinacea) 'Mystic Spires Blue' as an i.d. of your salvia, Jo Ann. It's a shorter mutation of 'Indigo Spires.' Very pretty plant, Jo Ann! Smiling

I'm not sure either, only that the foliage looks similar. I believe there are several varieties of that species nowadays.

Great photos, Jo Ann! I'm positive that is the Salvia hybrid (longispicata x farinacea) 'Mystic Spires Blue'.

It greatly favors it's parent farinacea, but the influence of its longispicata parent make the leaves larger and rounder. The plant has a bigger stature than farinacea too. Due to an odd number of chromosomes, it is sterile and won't produce viable seed.

I really like the combination you've made with the variegated plant. Is that a Plectranthus aka Cuban Oregano?

Ugh, don't say coleus. I have a horrible infestation on my coleus this year - they're all going in the trash.

Are many of the Agastache biennial or short-lived? I know there are a lot of annual Salvias.

Yes, some of the Agastaches are new to me as of last year. ♥ them. They are all doing well. I hope the ones I have will be at least fairly long lived. I prefer perennials to annuals and biennials although I always have some of those too. Big Grin

This is Salvia farinacea 'Cathedral Deep Blue'. You'll notice the leaves are different.

Thanks Tee and Tamara! Thumbs up

Tee, No, not by choice. I don't just have containers, I also have a lot of plants in the ground. I like to plant in containers around the yard so the Hummers have a spot to feed from and hopefully, not get chased by another Hummer. I plant for Hummers, Butterflies and Songbirds. Big Grin

I have containers at the end of the driveway, at the back of the house, on the patio and on the front porch.

Because of many weeks of the Spring rains we had this year, I got the containers planted a lot later than usual and couldn't get around to potting up containers for the front porch. Then, we got weeks and months of unusually high temps right after the very wet Spring and I had to stop and 'take refuge' in the AC inside. Sad

Here are some more pics of containers on the driveway. I took these in early July in the evening this yr. These aren't all of them on the driveway, I didn't want to bore you. *Blush* Smiling
