Heath I'm sorry to tell you that Plumeria do not come true from seed. What you have there is a 'seedling of Sariah's Curly Pink'. It is yours to name.
I would also remind you that at this time of year blooms are not their best. Give it a chance to bloom a few more times before deciding on whether it's a 'keeper'.

It's definitely a keeper. I would be pleased if the rest of my seedlings resemble the parent plant as much as this one does. The guy I spoke with at Brads Buds and Blooms told me that they may resemble the parent plant but with some variation. He told me it was like when we have kids even though they don't look like us they still have our same nose or chin or eye color. I hope some of my other seedlings bloom this summer. Thumbs up

If you're happy with it then all is well Thumbs up Just remember, it's not a Sariah's Curly Pink but a unique variety which is yours to name ('Heath's Curly White' maybe? Smiling )

Plantcollector, you get to name a plumeria! What fun. I grew my first seedlings three years ago and have now named two that have bloomed. 'K's F.F.' is loaded with seed-pods as well.

What Heat matts does everyone use? I planted seeds directly in dirt and looks like it will take forever to grow lol...what's the best time to plant seeds? I have a bag full of seeds from one I cross pollinated two seasons ago...

@Mark619 I have been using 2 Plant Babies Seed Starter Propagation Heat Mats (10x20 inch) and 1 Apollo Horticulture Seedling Mat (10 x 20 inch). These are basic models...no thermostat or on off switches. Plug them in and they heat. I leave mine plugged in all of the time and only unplug them when we leave the house. My paranoia. I am really happy with both brands. Noticed when looking the past few days that the prices have increased since I purchased mine. Obviously, this is a hobby for me so I don't know what more heavy duty users might use. Love my heat mats. They have done a great job at giving me speedy germination of plumeria seeds. After soaking seeds overnight in H2O2 solution and planting the next morning, I have actually seen germination in 2 days! Happy me! Also using T5 lights.

P.S. When I had a bit of an overflow, I placed some seeds on top of the cable box Green Grin! not permanently.

@Mark619 BTW which plumeria did you cross pollinate? I started my seed sowing at the end of December and am still planting a few. The December seedlings are being potted up. It is interesting to see the differences in leaf color, shape & size. Best wishes on germination Smiling
