Yes....am going back for some creeping phlox......the fellow who repaired my fence disturbed the soil all around it....am hoping the phlox will hold the soil.....& beat the weeds!
Preen and mulch is all I can think of to hold down the weeding. Many weed seeds come flying when the lawn is mowed - that's where the great majority of mine come from and I don't know how I could prevent it.
I usually do mulch that area, & have planted some DLs to hold the soil....everything is displaced though because the fellow dug all around the fence....will just have to see what comes up....weeds for sure!
Our church's youth group had a plant sale & I bough Wave petunias....they arrived yesterday, but I won't be putting them in the ground for another 2 weeks!
Ronnie, I'm not familiar with Blue Porterweed......My next buying trip will be to my friend's greenhouses in Plainfield, NH......very unusual salvias there....love them in the herb garden.....the hummers flock there!
