What are everyone's favorite Asiatic Lilies? Mine is Tiny Ghost. What are your experiences with them and please share pictures of your favorites.

I have way too many favorites!

One of them is Ed McRae's 'Accent'. It is a strong lily that comes back year after year for me:


I really like the downfacing Asiatic lilies (more than the upfacing ones).
'Pink Dream'. This one was in a container and lasted only a year or two. Lilies grow much metter in the ground for me:


We're supposed to pick just one Asiatic lily as our favorite? Don't think I can pick just one .

For another in the "Tiny" series this is 'Tiny Padhye'. I don't think I have this one anymore either, but loved it while it lasted:


Well that's just a start, I have so many that I love. When we get closer to blooming season we will start a new thread just for this season's photos. Hope you will have more photos to post!

I don't do pics but I really like the "Joy " series, the "Tiny" series, and the down facing multifloral types such as those developed by Judith Freeman and not necessarily in that order!

Hi guys, awesome posts!!! How do i get it to display where i live? Until i find out i'm in Paducah, KY, zone 7. I may have to just post my other Asiatics lol. I have Tiny Todd, Tiny Double You, Tiny Bee and Tiny Red Rocket. I feel obsessed and can't wait to see this years selections in the nurseries. Such a warm and welcoming group.

Don't think I have a photo of my own of Red Velvet, but thats why we have the database It's my favorite asiatic for sure, blooms a long time, tall, sturdy and with a rich color.


Cafe Noir (I think it has been renamed 'Dixie Jazz' now) has terrific impact up close with great contrast and is my favorite among the up facing ones. Long blooming


Landini, tall and sturdy. Fairly long blooming and in the right light and weather conditions it has a very dark pleasant color. It's my favorite 'black' lily and an easy choice as it's my only one


Red Life, bright and shiny. My favorite tiger-lily-style-lily.


Purple Life. Not so much garden impact, but really love the spots Yes ,I have weak spot for spots . Unfortunately so far not a healthy lily in my garden. Hope I can find out what I'm doing wrong. It's however my favorite of the insanely spotted asiatic lilies.

Lol, you all just reaffirm my love for asiatics. Seems like around here in my town they don't get much love. Only very few gardens in this area have them. And trust me i can spot an asiatic or any true lily from a long distance away lol. ;) Maybe they will catch on. Can't wait to see what selections come out this year.

My Dad lived in Paris, TN just north of the KY-TN state line. He wasn't much into flowers except for my mom and found that those he could grow here in Alaska just wouldn't grow there. He gave up on the spring flowers but had one huge trellis of wild roses that he got from a little planting he found along a road. I was amazed to see peonies beside some houses there as they are definitely not happy in the heat.

I have decided to stop wasting money on the Orienpets and trumpets up here. They grow but don't survive long. And they don't multiply like the Orientals (or is it Asiatics). I keep getting them confused. I bought Lollypop this year as I had it several years ago and it went nuts in my garden and multiplied prolifically.

Hi Mary Stella, i love your story!!! As far as i know asiatics tend to be shorter and orientals tend to be fragrant and taller. That's just my basic knowledge so far ;)
