I saw Lowes had some of those things you hang on the walls. May have to build you a frame for them.

Sure, we have a 4 car garage - I'm sure my DH won't mind! Blinking The neighbors have lots of yard space they're not using either.

Charleen, I've looked at those. Not sure where I would put something like that though. They are cool!

Four car garage? Surely he can do with just two cars worth? Rolling on the floor laughing Wow, that would sure give you a lot of room for more plants. Lovey dubby

Put them on the wall outside, of your garage. Don't know how hot they would be and the opening realy aren't that large either.

DG had a thread that showed a number of pics of a hanging wall at a show. I think the thread was in the Cactus and Succulents forum. Warning once you see one, you want to have one! If you are a member, you can check it out.

Yes, they are nice little planters, I think cascading on the bottom with sedums and then semp in the upper ones.

One of these days I'll put some garden pics in the data base.

Jacki, are your semps out in the open sun all day, part day, or covered?

Most are in four inch pots in afternoon shade, some are planted right into a rock wall with pretty much full sun most of the day until late afternoon (that's a real baker!) and then I have some with shade in the late morning onwards. They don't seem to really care, as long as it's hot!

Jacki, are your plants outside all winter or do you move them into a greenhouse?

All the hardy Sempervivum, Jovibarba, Sedum and so on are permanently outside - either in landscaped display beds or in pots which I put on top of the vegetable beds once the harvest is in. The only plants I bring in are the tender succulents such as Echeveria, which go into the plant room for the winter under fluorescent lights.

Thanks! My room for more semps in the ground is getting very limited and I'm not sure where I can put another bed. Guess I'll just need to start potting more of them up.

Are the neighbors using all their yard space Chris. Blinking
I am finding since we are so dry here in the summer months with very low humidity, that I need to water almost every evening. This seems to work best here rather than morning, as the combination of sun and water seems to scorch them.
Chris I have some extra raised beds you can use. Big Grin

Rolling on the floor laughing I'd LOVE to use your extra raised beds! Kind of a long drive though.... The neighbors have lots of yard space, but 3 dogs - one is a maniac too. That's the only good thing about all the rain we're getting - no watering.

You are going to have to build a upper deck for them.

Time to take new photos of our semp gardens so we can all see how they have matured through this summer. Start posting, can't wait to see your maturing semps. Also your new beds that you are just now starting up with next year in mind.

It is amazing to me how fast they have grown and mulitplied since Oct. last year. Many have been removed for trades.
