Awesome! I haven't been to the database yet - that is a rainy day project. It is supposed to rain here off and on all week. We got 2 inches last week - we needed it but we don't need a flood!!

Thanks guys, you are the bestest!! RRM - my tree came today, headed out to plant that baby right now.

Keep it watered. Willows love water, after it gets going it's o.k. but while it's young keep it watered. If it dies let me know and I get you another started with BIGGER roots. O.K.???

Here is the raised bed I put in last year. The sedum did great over winter, but a lot of the semps didn't make it...not sure why.

Lori, that is quite a cleaver use of an old BBQ. My goodness that is alot of chicks around that semp. Do you know the name of that one? Is that last years chicks and new chicks this year coming on? Can you count the chicks from each each year? If you don't know the name you can still post your picture in the NOID database. That is an awesome picture. http://cubits.org/sedumandsemp...
Named cultivar database http://cubits.org/sedumandsemp...
Also there is a field to fill in on how many chicks the plant produces in a year. That is truly a wonderful picture.
Chris your older bed is looking awesome, from your previous posts I thought it had been decimated during the winter. That bed is looking wonderful. I am so relieved for you. How strange the semps didn't do well in the new bed. When was it planted? Did they have enough time to put good roots down before winter came? The sedum are looking wonderful.

The bed I was referring to in my posts was the new raised bed. I made it in mid-summer, so they should've had enough time to get established.

I can't wait for all of mine to fill in - your beds look great! Those are this years chicks - I will have to see if there is a name for that one or not. I have purchased a lot of them without names - just marked hen and chicks. I will have to check to see what is what.

Thanks for the complements on the bbq - I thought it was kinda funny. My wacked sense of humor..hot, dry succulents..bbq..you get the point. It has been a fun project. I have close up pics of a lot more..some named some NOID - I will get to the data base as soon as I have time - It will take me a little while to put everything in there.

Here is another one that has gone crazy in the chick department

Your right Charleen, because almost all of us have sedum and semp that we don't know the Cultivar names. They are just as beautiful and wonderful as the named one. So they need their place to shine. Thumbs up

Chris, that is awesome. Good heavens you better get started on another one right away. You almost have the new one filled. When those get started growing it will be all filled up. How does that happen? Blinking I love that you put a walk way down the middle, and the rocks are awesome.
I have a young man coming tomorrow to help me finish cleaning out and amending the soil in the rest of my raised beds. I have enough in semps pots right now to fill another 4 x 8 bed and potted sedum to fill a 4 x 8 bed. That will leave me with a 4 x 20 bed for next year.

Thanks ladies! I put the walkway in because I really don't like to step in these gardens. This way I can reach all the way across both sides. Yup, it's pretty much filled up already because I want room for them to spread. But I now have everything planted that I had potted up. I'm sure next year I'll need another garden but have no idea where I'll put it! Whistling
