I'm always keeping an eye out for Star Trek themed daylilies, too. I'm waiting until I have enough flower bed space to do it justice, though, because once I go down that path there is turning back. I will buy them all.

I have the Star Trek garden gnomes. Husband hates garden statues but he allowed me these.
I have Notify Ground Crew, Galaxy Quest, and Alpha Quadrant. I picked up Warp Drive.

As for Iris, I have Starship Enterprise and Klingon Princess.

In hosta I have Captain Kirk, Beam Me up Scotty, Starship, Enterprise, Andorian, Deep Space Nine, Captain's Adventure, and Vulcan.

I am lusting after Mind Meld but it is pricy right now.

That website is a really nice site! Love how you can sort the cultivars by price, alphabetically, fragrance, rebloomers, Gaskins, and Clearance. I love the screen covering they have over all their plants! Great idea to add some summer shade and winter protection! And the next generation (young daughter) is adorable! Darn the only one on my wish list at The Daylily Store was 'Julianna Lynn', and it was the cheapest price listed, but the freight would be more than the cost of the plant!

you all are very welcome. I purchased Waves of Joy and Static from her and spent $53 including S&H everywhere else waves of joy was over 50 by it's self so I had to jump on it. She also included a bonus fan of Punxsutawney Phil.

Is there a reason why the Mayor of Munchkinland daylily so expensive? Is it hard to grow? I know that it is very cute but can someone tell me what makes it so special. Am I missing something?

I'm not sure Karen, maybe it's just in high demand because of the awards it gets.

Mayor of Munchkinland was first seen by over 500 attendees in TIm Bells garden at the 2010 AHS COnvention in Valdosta, when it was a seedling in the Region 5 Seedling Bed. When this seedling was announced as the winner, and TIm Herrington was called up, I remember the announcer saying the vote was 500+ to something like 37 votes for the next seedling runner up! The reason it won by such a lopsided margin was because when viewed in the seedling bed, it had this amazing branching, a bud count of 50+ buds (doesn't quite get that here in VA-more like 35) and a very distinctive eye. Tim registered it right after that. I believe I called him right after that convention or either asked him to save me one piece of it at the convention. Tim usually introduces new ones with maybe only 20 to 30 plants in stock, so his supply is limited and he sells out quickly. I've learned that if I want something new of his or Heathers, I contact him immediately or it will be sold out for years. For about the past 3 years, everything I've gotten from them has been sold out for several years afterward. Short supply= high demand!!

That would be an impressive bud count! Smart move, Julie, jumping on that seedling before he sold out!
