Kate, I love the 'Lime Light'. Looks great with the white top dressing.

Here's a couple of pics of some of my calcareums:

Sempervivum calcareum 'Greenii' .................. Sempervivum calcareum 'Sir William Lawrence'


As you can see, 'Sir William Lawrence' is slightly more 'white' while 'Greenii' is more green. I think that 'Sir William Lawrence' also gets a bit larger than 'Greenii' but that is subjective. I have not measured them.

Totally raining, and yes I was out there with a camera, thought it would give them an interesting look,
but don't think so now...

It's beautiful with the water on the leaves. Why don't you think it isn't interesting now?

Lynn, I feel like the water blurs the image. If I get the chance I'll go out and take photos today, when things won't be so wet! This one is fine, but I took several other photos and they just all look blurry (of course it could be that they really ARE blurry - hmmm imagine that? Me taking blurry photos?)

Greg, I use the shaky hands setting and I still get blurry. I would like to blame it on the camera but...............

Operator error is a better excuse.

Show us one... it will give it an impressionistic look and you can say that is what you were after.
