It was totally my fault. I take the blame. I was in a Chocolate Frenzy.

I was in Costo and I found a 6 pack of large 3.5oz Lindt Dark Chocolate bars.: 70% Dark Cocoa, Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt, and Dark Chocolate with Caramel. 6 bars for...wait for it...$3.97!!!!!!...for ALL 6 bars! I did think of them as gifts for healthcare workers that we are suddenly seeing often. I could give them the whole box or break them up individually. So I bought 3 boxes and tossed on in for myself.

When DD came to visit on Thursday, I opened a box and let her choose a flavor. That is when I noticed the box said they expired 3/31/17! I looked at each bar in the box I opened, they expired a day later, too!

Now, a Chocoholic like me believes that real chocolate NEVER EVER expires. It can get chalky on the outside but it will still taste good. But you simply cannot give gifts of food that has expired. That would be just pain rude. In order to make things right, I will have to eat every.single.one.of.these.chocolate bars. Darnit! Hurray! BTW I did show some restraint though it was hard. I left a case behind at the store.

I love chocolate and would completely overdo it too, however, since too much chocolate will trigger the migraine from hell for me. I would even take a bath in milk chocolate! That is the only thing keeping me in check and not eating every bar in the entire city.

Ouch, that bites to have chocolate trigger migraines. No fun, for sure. I'm diabetic, so even though I'm a big chocolate lover, I have to go easy on it. I won't give it up!

"Chocolate Every Day" is my rule. No more than one, 15-17 Carb serving. No more than my share. Well, I try! But as long as I know I can have some chocolate every day I rarely over indulge. I try to make sure it's a good dark chocolate because dark chocolate receives accolades for good health. I choose to believe that. nodding While eating, I stop what I am doing, I focus on my chocolate, and eat it slowly, enjoying every bit of it. Often I make the serving last a few hours and take bites here and there. I get mad if I forget to have my chocolate serving though!

I agree, and am the same way except I add in a glass of red wine along with my daily ration of dark chocolate. Yum!

You are very lucky. I can have both chocolate and wine, just in tight moderation.

OOPS! I did it again! D'Oh! I found Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs half price after Easter clearance. I felt I found a gold mine since it is almost a full week after the holiday. With DH sick and all I didn't get any Easter preps done. We missed out on our favorite goodies. There were no Peeps left, so I snatched up a bunch of these eggs. 24 of them to be exact. DH tells me he doesn't like peanut butter?! Whaaaa? Blinking Who is this man and what did he do with my husband? Sighing! I guess the only thing to do it to eat them all myself!

I buy the very high cacao chocolate for its healthy value. I don't ever eat a whole bar or anything. I eat a couple of squares of chocolate with my healthy bars. So I can feel justified, because everything is good for me. Sure!
