Another small diathus planted a couple of weeks ago: This is Earlybird Sherbert. The form is like a large carnation--but in a small flower--and the fragrance also seems to me like the carnations I used to get for special occasions when I was a kid. Right now in a small vase I have one of the little flowers I removed a couple of days ago and the fragrance is still there.
Earlybird Sherbert--the color is really pink. The flowers have held up very well in all the rain and wind we have had the past couple of weeks.
The next one is probably a cross between a diathus plumarius (name unknown) and Firewitch. I was very surprised when I walked out and saw this one because of the difference in the color. It is a very hot pink, totally different from the others. It does have the fragrance, of course.
Unfortunately my camera just doesn't get the color right.
