Found one of my asiatics that looked like it had been stepped on, closer examination it looked to be some sort of stem rot. The stem had fully developed buds, its located next to 2 other Asiatics. What is interesting when I initially planted them (plants are 5 years old), one of the bulbs failed to thrive...very stunted growth, I dug the bulb up and discarded it. The rotted stem was located in approx the same position as the bulb that was discarded.
Is it a fusarium, possible basal rot or what, additionally can it affect the other Lilys that are growing nearby. No apparent insect damage that I could see. All suggestions gladly accepted Thx

First photo is what it looks like where the stem was, 2nd photo is a picture of the stem.

Until this year, I've never had any stems rot at the base, except for species lilies. Now this year already, I've already had two species stems and three hybrid stems topple. Very unusual for me, and I think our Minnesota weather is, at least in part, the culprit.

I don't know what kind of rot it is, but it is not fusarium. Fusarium invades the vascular system and blocks water and nutrient translocation. This is how it kills a plant; fusarium does not rot tissue.
