It's been awhile since I checked IE Nancy but if I remember correctly they pre=set the font to small. You can change it in the Tools tab on the page if you don't want to use the shortcuts I listed above. Due to vision problems I have always had to adjust the font in all of the browsers I use.

I agree I love the idea of a HELP tab added to the above tabs.

Welcome Sandy! I agree with everyone, don't ever hesitate to ask a question around here. I'm getting old and forgetful and have probably asked the same questions over and over, but there's always someone willing to refresh my memory! Green Grin!

Mindy/Margaret: Thanks so much for the tip about how to enlarge the text! I tried Control + - which didn't work on my Apple laptop, so I tried the Command key + - and it works! Love it!

Control + worked for me & I'm going to leave it this way! It's BETTER! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Margaret, you don't happen to know how to take a screen shot do you? Been trying to figure that one out for years.

LOL Ann, someone told me how to take a screen shot once too and I followed directions step by step but it just didn't seem to cooperate with my Apple laptop.

Mine is a Dell. I have Googled & come up with zilch. There's a button on here which says "Prnt Scrn" but that doesn't do it. I have no idea what all the F keys do either.

You have to hold the control button at the same time as prnt scrn - then transfer to a document, or email service, for printing.

Nothing happens Hetty. Except my pointer vibrates. What I want to do is like when you print the weather map things on the Storms thread. You must use print screen & then post it here.

Okay Hetty, since my prnt scrn is on the upper case of the key I tried it holding control, shift & print screen all at one time. That worked. When I right clicked I could save it but it saved the entire page with all posts. At least now I know how to make it work. I'll play around with it to take individual portions. Thanks Hetty!

It will always save the entire contents of what is on the screen at the time.
Glad you were able to get it to work.

The print screen on my laptop just copies the screen to the clipboard, then I usually just paste the clipboard into my photo editing program.

I tried to find a clipboard & my search was unsuccessful. I have a notepad but can not locate clipboard.

clipboard is a temporary holding area -- when you shift-prt-screen it copies the screen contents to said temporary holding area (like when you highlight text and select 'copy' -- same thing). Once you've got it on the invisible clipboard, you have to paste it somewhere else.

I paste it into the windows paint program (start->run->pbrush) and then crop it and save it from there. For screen prints, that works fine.

Thank you Mary! Now I understand. You explained that well. And I DO know where paint is. Hurray! Rolling on the floor laughing

Why don't "they" tell you when things are invisible & when they're not? And I sure wish these things came with instruction booklets made of paper!

I agree When we unpacked the carton with this notebook in it, I said, "well dang, we'll have to take it back, there's no instruction book with it!" Hilarious! Then Ry (my fella) said, "Uhmm, they don't come with any..."
Incredulously, I replied, "you've got to be kidding me!!!" Rolling on the floor laughing

The hardest part of doing a screenshot for me is each time I attempt it, I have to figure out again how to convert a doc. to a jpeg for image uploading Blinking ...I never seem to retain that li'l bit of knowledge.
