A few more Rs....
Rothschildiana
Red Oak leaf retention in spring, why decidous trees do this mystifies me, I mean I realize there is some advantage to protecting the bud scales and buds, but do they have to make a mess AFTER i have raked all that winter debris away in spring? Never mind, I love them anyway.
Another Rudie, just hirta, no big deal, but always easy when you need a shot of color somewhere. Anywhere. Please.
Redwing Butterfly Gladiolus. I may be breaking my own rule by posting this same variety twice, but this is a different photograph of it. So sue me.
Rose "Peace" Columbia river in the background.
Russian Almond, as a juvenile. Was crushed by snow this year, totally flat as a pancake so I will see how well it does.
Red Hot Poker. I see mine have survived winter, I have two, this one is one that died. I usually only post photos of the most recent year, (HINT).
