I just got a USPS package in the mail that looked like it had just been horribly handled. It was dented in all sides and had a tear through it. The plumeria had a split in the main trunk that then I think caused a secondary split with a branch . Here are the front and back pictures. I sent them to the seller and he thought it had been cut and it will grow back together and to let him know. What? I am all about saving the plant, but a little help please? I received a damaged plant. Check out the photos below and see what you think. I did not want to bend them any more to check how far inside the damage had gone. So I clamped it together best I could and put a little super glue around the edges just so I could have a little support for it while I taped and supported it to a stick. All of the roots had been smashed off of its root ball as well. I used medical tape with a small amount of shipping tape to keep that on and tight. I do not know what else to do. I splurged on this "Duvauchell" and was hopping it would cheer up my week and instead I am doing surgery and hoping for the best. Any advice?

Oops sorry had to just edit out some photos because my information on the box was showing. Pictures are now incomplete and do not show the damaged parts I was hoping to get advice on.

@Esperanza, I also received a box that looked just like that. I have no idea if you got yours from the same vendor but if it was the same happened to me. I did bring it to the Post Masters attention at the Post Office, no home delivery here one must go to PO. He had no answer for condition with the exception that all Priority Mail comes with $50.00 insurance. I filed a claim on line with Post Office but still waiting. Hope it makes it for you. That is the same last Plumeria I ordered. Good luck.

That's too bad the Seller didn't package your precious more securely. Or address your problem. Thumbs down You are well versed in grafting measures. No doubt you'll be able to save the branch despite the sad state. This plumeria needs you. It came to the right place.

Good idea @txtea James. $50 would help your pain!

Thanks James and Cheryl. I will go fill out a form now. I was too angry to deal with it yesterday.

@Txtea, there are not very many people selling that one. Did you happen to get yours from a well known seller in HI. ? Just curious. I do not want to slander anyones name online but I would like to know if this is normal for this sellers practices. To bad. I had plans to order a few more from him. I am looking for Kauka Wilder specifically. I am going to either get one from BB&B or Florida colors I guess.

@ShadyGreenThumb , thank you for your vote of confidence in my skills. We shall see Crossing Fingers! I was just looking at some of my grafts from a few weeks ago and they are still just sitting there. I don't know if I got skillz yet Rolling on the floor laughing

Update: Seller emailed me back today and was nice and helpful.
Here she is all bandaged up and in a pot being supported by a rock and two bamboo sticks. I honestly do not know how deep the wounds go but I am hoping for the best.

As far as I know they do not insure plant material.
