I know it is the middle of winter here but there they are. Big egg plant fruit. The two bushes are self sown.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Texaskitty: those look a lot like Fairy Tale eggplant. They should be picked when small (they only get 3-4" long) and the skin should still be shiny.
