A seedling from last year that looks even better this one. Parantage unknown. I like the flower, but the branchung and bud count leave much to be desired.

I am about 3 weeks ahead of my regular bloom season. Peak bloom is usually not until June. I have scapes galore here and more buds ready to pop!

The beds have been a work in progress for the last 3-4 years and most of the daylilies seem to have settled in great. I only have a few that have not bloomed and most of those were added last year.

I like FF. This is the first year it has looked good. Last year was the first time it bloomed and I must have had an infestation of something that effected the blooms as it looked like this!

Thumb of 2012-05-09/Ditchlily/bc418e

I had more than one flower that was effected by whatever it was. Fortunately most seemed to snap out of it for later blooms.

Did you use any roundup? It makes flowers look like that if you get a bit of spray on them.

The pic of the bud with the little bumps? I believe that they are caused by thrips.

I did not use it, but the lawn guys might have sprayed the weeds. That plant is in the bed that has the driveway next to it and a scalloped concrete edger separating it. They might have sprayed the weeds between the edger and the driveway.

I did spray Bayer a few weeks ago. It would probably not hurt to spray again. Thanks.
