Sunday is usually my chance to get caught up in the garden, but Mother's Day was busy. It also rained on and off for the whole day and I almost did not get to take pictures. Fortunately the rain was not heavy and the blooms did not melt, they were just covered with raindrops. I eventually made it out and started snapping away. About halfway through the light misting turned into actual drops, I got my umbrella out and used it for its original purpose. No thunder or lightning in sight so I just kept snapping away. I was almost done when the rain picked up and turned into an actual downpour. I finished those last few shots as I was afraid either I would not be able to get back out or that the blooms would not stand up to even more rain. The camera stayed under the umbrella and I got wet!
Here are my Mother's Day blooms:
Barbara Mitchel 5-13 FFO
Bizarre Behavior 5-13 FFO
Blueberry Baroque 5-13 FFO
This was one of those I took in the downpour and you can see where it was starting to dissolve in the rain..
CS-01 5-13 FFO
This was an unintentional "mood shot". The lens got a bit misty from the rain and I decided I liked the look, but not enough to repeat it intentionally. I cleaned off the lens and made sure it did not happen again! Unfortunately the other two regular shots were a bit out of focus and I never made it out to snap another one.
Desert Fire and Hearts Of Fire 5-13
I thought the contrast was nice.
Another "Fire"
Fire And Fog 5-13 FFO
Fancy Face with Richard Taylor in the background.
Flaming Tongues 5-13
Spacecoast Freaky Tiki 5-13
(oops, forgot to add the Spacecoast to the Freaky Tiki)
