I just noticed that I have a seed pod on one of my plumerias. I usually let them go dormant and over winter them in the garage but I would love to have the seed pod mature. Does anyone have any experience with getting a seed pod to mature indoors?

I have let my seed poods go dormant with the tree. The pods seems to go dormant too. In the spring it picks up where it left off and 9 mos later (from when it first grows) I have seeds. This year, the one tree has 2 (4) seed pods.

I just realized my plant has 2 pairs of pods growing. This is the first I've seen them and they look fully formed and brownish purple. It's currently the beginning of spring. Is there any good way of knowing when the pods are close to maturity so that I can try to protect the pods? The last pod I had open without me knowing so I wasn't able to save all the seeds. Thanks

Thanks for your replies. The reason I'm asking is I'm trying to figure out when to cover them with nylons. I'm also concerned that if they open 9 months from now that will be approaching winter. The last time I had a pod it opened in November and the seeds didn't do well going into winter.
