Thread OP

Aloha from Hawaii all. I came across this forum while trying to research the ailment of my plumeria tree. Its a Pink Putica which was planted 1.5 years ago and has been going strong until a couple weeks ago. I noticed that some of the bottom leaves were turning yellow and upon further inspection have found more on the interior of the tree as well as some brown ones. There hasn't really been any changes in watering (although I fear my neighbor's sprinklers are coming on more often which tend to drain into my yard). Some of the leaves also have what appear to be sun burned patches on the interior of the leaf (not at the tip). Any help or suggestions would be great. I really want to save this tree.

First of all I'd like to say that is the biggest so called 'Pink Pudica' I have ever seen.

It could be your plant is going dormant - where do you live? Here in South Florida all the plumeria are starting to lose their leaves and entering their dormancy, from which they will emerge in the early spring.
If that is not the case, I would indeed think about overwatering being the cause. I assume you have checked for insect infestation?

Thank you Dutchlady1 - I live in Ewa Beach, Hawaii where the temperatures don't usually fall below 65. It didn't go into dormancy last year. I don't see any obvious signs of insects, rust or fungus but I'll look again. I do see other trees in the neighborhood dropping leaves as well so I hope its just going into dormancy.

Dormancy for sure. What a beautiful "tree". Amazing!
