Lorn, my eyes are not as Lilium-educated/trained as yours and Ricks (and others' on this forum), but I would say they look just the same and they are different bulbs obtained from seeds either Rick or Lisa sent me years ago.

These bulbs have already developed some baby bulbs at the underground part of the stem. The 5 largest bulbs I had from the seed batch, no longer exist - they were planted two or 3 years ago in a large planter and rodents dug/ate them last winter, but baby bulbs remained (no flower buds this season).

I gave one large bulb to my neighbour at that time, but I am not sure this one is still alive.

Last year I planted two pots with 3 adult bulbs each (one with alkaline soil and one with acid soil, and 4 pots with one bulb each. Tomorrow I will take pictures of all the ones in bloom (the 3 bulbs in acid soil are the ones of the picture posted today - the ones in alcaline soil have not opened their buds so far and were more or less of the same size). Keep your fingers crossed there is no wind tomorrow (very usual here during the warm season).
