Where I lived in an apartment in the big city before moving to the countryside 7 years ago, the neighbours had Eucalyptus trees, but kept them trimmed down after our Administration talked to them (I was not involved).

There are a few farms here that grow them (sold for heating/cooking purposes), but this year I have observed the trees close to the road have all been brought down - I suppose it was a request from our local authorities. One of our main (if not THE MAIN) problems here is that everytime we have some rain or stormy wind, either branches or a full trees fall, shutting our electrical power down for hours (cables are linked on posts at the roadside).
