Thank You! everyone! Earned my first acorns yesterday adding comments to plants.

I would not hesitate to chop that Senecio down to root the crest. Stability will definitely be an issue over time.

Audrey, Dudleyas are all native to the region, predominantly the coast. (Baja California, California, part of Arizona) The ones in that first picture are mutts (no ID), selected based on ease of propagation instead of pedigree.

Here's a picture of a different Dudleya that I put in the ground without a bunny guard (oops!). It ended up being chewed to a nub, or rather two closely spaced nubs. But it looks like I jumped in just in time for a save. Hurray!
