Ewww, you got yourself a nasty, invasive Marine Toad there, Brandon. I hope you euthanized it.

They secrete a toxic substance in those big glands behind the eyes, and if your pet gets it in their mouth, they can die. If you get it on your skin, it causes an awful irritation, too. Here's the UF info on Bufo marinus - scroll down the page to where it shows the diff between that one and the Southern Toad (which is native and not toxic).

I got a good picture of a Cuban Tree frog, our other nasty invasive frog here in FL - would you believe she was brazenly sitting on a plant in the greenhouse at the local Botanical Garden? The females are a lot bigger than the males, and this one was at least 3in. long.
