L. tigrinum (lancifolium) may also add great disease resistance. This seedling has tigrinum in its ancestry and has lasted a good many years for me. I have used it in a number of crosses and this summer I did some back crosses. It also provides aerial bulbils. I like that it has a bit of a pinkish tinge. (I have also posted photos of it many times over the years: Seedling #GH-A-14):
