Are you sure about the ID of this plant? It looks unlike the Opuntia littoralis plants which grow around here (plant is native to the region, named after the coast here) or the plants in the other photos. The color is different, the proportions of the pads are different, and the spines are different (mostly absent, both the proper ones and especially the glochids which are so evident on this plant normally). Since it's growing on another continent there is a good chance the tag was mixed up.

I could not begin to say which Opuntia it might be, so the best I might recommend would be to move it to the generic Opuntia page, unless you know the ID to be correct or have some idea what it might be otherwise. Please let me know what you think. Thank You!
