Along the same lines, I would like to question the decision involved in prioritizing that photo for default display above the others of Opuntia littoralis (the real species) with more thumbs, from actual habitat, and with clear features better matching the species. Or do I remember the order of the pictures wrong? Things have changed there now so there's no way to know any more.
Who decides what shows up on the species page? Why was the wrong photo selected instead of allowing the thumbs to decide? It's not a huge deal, obviously all resolved now, thank you. I'm just trying to understand the hidden mechanisms at play.
