Beth ... I know you said you are new to growing roses. A couple of quick tips.

When you buy roses like that, we call them body bag roses ... Smiling The roots have been butchered to fit the packaging.

Soak the plants the night before you plant them in a bucket of water.

After you plant them, water them daily. The goal is to keep them moist, not wet.

Don't feed them until you see new growth. If they look like they are just sitting there, don't get too worried. They are busy growing roots.

That's all I have time for right now.

Could others please chime in with other things that Beth should know as she starts her rose adventure ?

I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.
