Here are my screen captures to show the steps using one of my plants I have in my list, as you can see, on the left side it tells me it's in my list. From there I click the "Add an Event Report".
This is the page to add that event. I selected 'Potted Up' and June 4th and then clicked the button
"Add the event to this plant".
Once I click that I get this page and you can see it registered with the correct date. I then click at the bottom
« View Shrub Begonia (Begonia 'Gene Daniels') in the plants database.
Which now takes me back to the entry and shows the two events I have entered.
And it also shows in my list
