Philip, I think it depends how one uses the technology, and who you use it with. If I know I am talking to my younger relatives or to people of my age bracket, texting or chatting is the way to go. For my older relatives, we still go live calling. Life with its various conveniences have made as all busier than ever.

My aunt used to abhor texting, but when I finally taught her how to use it, she enjoyed it a lot, especially being able to send /receive picture messages. And she is now 83 years old, so there is always room to enjoy things. She is not a heavy user, but it is convenience enough for her as well to reach all of us, even a casual text hello. Texting is her limit though, she will not use other forms of social media communication, so we are okay with it. Smiling
