@Australis — I know. It just makes me feel better if I use a private window. And frequently clear my browser's history.

I have a friend that I used to kill time with work with a number of years ago. That gal is a true techie! She was being interviewed on NPR a week or so ago talking about security and VPNs. She said that in the end, VPNs aren't going to help all that much either. And for the every day user, VPNs can get a little confusing. I wish we still lived in the same town so she could come over and mess with my set up. Or my nephew in Boulder would come to visit and show me some stuff. He's very very techie. All I can say is that I used to be.

One time I was listening to an interview about kids who get degrees in Computer Science (or whatever they call it now). I was shocked to learn that universities only offer one 3 hour course in Computer Security. Don't remember now if it was even a required course.

Our laws in the U.S. of A. aren't all that friendly either. And when they are, there's always a promise that some day they won't be.
