The "Viewing plants added by [username]" should be the plants you proposed adding to the database that were accepted. If you are sure you've had more plant proposals accepted than that, then there may be a bug in the counter.
@dave should be able to check the details.
Images and databox proposals are separate entries. I don't think the system currently distinguishes between adding the first image to an entry and adding any image to an entry.
