By the way .... I went back to the February thread and took a look at your UFF and I really don't know what bird that is. At first I thought it looked a bit like a female Pine Siskin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... but they have pointed bills and I don't their bills are as thick as the bird in your photo. Do you recall if the bill was crossed? I wonder if it could be a female or juvenile Red Crossbill?

I looked at your reference images, and also at the Cornell web-pages for the candidates you proposed. They didn't seem to match the UFFO. In particular, the "lighting stripe behind the eyes and the black bill seemed off the mark. Of course, if I was wiser, I wouldn't have to ask what it was in the first place!
