This photo was taken by Oscar Rivera in July 2017 at the El Faro Lighthouse in Manzanillo in the neotropical zone of Mexico on the Pacific Ocean. It appears to be quite small, possibly pygmy, possibly a juvenile.

I know there are people here knowledgeable about birds, so after 2 hours of searching to make a match, i am turning to you, although not as a last resort Hilarious! , to see what you can do to help id this little sweetie pie.

He or she is standing on a lighthouse walkway. The surroundings are water and also an amazing area of vegetation, part forest, part jungle and just about every kind of vegetation imaginable. The feathers appear somewhat wet which leads me to think he might have been fishing but that is conjecture. I would very much appreciate ideas, comments. Thank You!
