I have entered my local plant swap to the calendar of events a few times but have never actually looked at the NGA events calendar.

I have a question, please. Why is the Calendar of Events not in some kind of calendar form? (Or maybe it is and I just cannot find it.)

For example, if I were planning on visiting Tucson, Arizona during a certain week, I'd like to be able to see that there are X-many events in that area so I have a chance to plan my schedule around the event.

My words don't explain it very well so I looked online for an example. Here is the page for the Dallas Symphony. There is a calendar you can click on each date and a popup shows which event(s) occur on that date.

Another format; Heritage Museum and Gardens in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

In truth, I no longer travel very far from home but I sometimes enjoy a 'virtual visit' to some of the events and places. *Blush*
