I agree that Lycoris do not like to be disturbed. When I moved here, I transplanted some in April 2015 and didn't get any blooms until late summer 2017 and not all of them bloomed. I'm hoping the rest bloom this year. A mature Lycoris Bulb is about the size of a golf ball, but they will probably bloom before that. They like loose well drained soil and I've read that they like to be on the dry side while dormant, so I do not water them in summer. I let the fall rains wake them up.
