I got this from a nursery in Manitoba, and it's a Canadian prairie native. As we live on the cusp of the foothills, we're still considered prairies.
I grew it in Winnipeg, then in Calgary, now we're rural, and an hour NE of Calgary. This past summer it got some flower spikes on it, so I'm very happy. It's difficult to find here, but I got it through the same Native Prairie greenhouse I've dealt with before.
