If you don't get prolonged cold winter rains, or temps that go below 32F, it should be fine where it is. I leave mine outdoors since our winters are mild. Though we do get rains here. But it is so intemittent anyways, and this is the only time in the year where we actually get any form of rain or fog.

I just make sure the soil is well draining enough. My enemy actually are the snails, they thrive in the damp cool weather.

My amaryllis are in containers, still holding their leaves right now and we are now getting temps in the 35F to 40F range overnight and daytime highs of 55F to 60F.
