Incidentally, it would be wrong to change the botanical name to Salvia x jamensis. The hybrid taxon applies only to spontaneous crosses occurring in the wild, not to "man-made" hybrids.

The database already lists many man-made greggii x microphylla (or reverse) crosses as "x jamensis".
