Thank you, zuzu. I figured the common name is 'Cottage Pinks' & may have an old T & M catalogue, listing the cross as alpinus as being one parent, (half) of the old hybrid. I just have to find it again.. I .think 'Ipswich' may be a collection of individual named varieties, made by divisions, that may each have their own cv. name. While these are from seeds, originally created by a group associated with T & M , early on. They probably did 'Rainbow Loveliness, too. My memory isn't what it used to be, as I already forgot, after looking in the catalogue! Thanks, & you may possibly be right...Shawn
