Celadine will do very well for you in San Diego. It has a distinct citrusy smell, and is one of the best. The flowers are the ones most frequently used for leis due to their superior keeping quality.
I have heard that people in your area have trouble growing Singapore, so your decision might be made easier by that. Good luck!
