I live in zone 6. Has anyone had success with transplanting a bearded iris this late in the season? I am thinking of lifting it, with the surrounding soil, in a shovel, and putting it in a shallow hole elsewhere.
This one got away from me--it was growing under a shrub, so I haven't seen it bloom yet, and that's why I wanted to try and move it. Thanks for your help.
